Website updates
- Pages load faster: the font is now served from weblist itself and styles arrive in a single file.
- Listing screenshots now load in a smaller, faster image format, with more descriptive text for screen readers.
- Launched this changelog, with weekly totals of websites published, rejected and updated.
- Added pages for a category within a state, such as Business & Finance websites in New South Wales, wherever there are three or more listings.
- Each listing now has a quick facts panel, including the date it was added, and a short question-and-answer section.
- Related websites on a listing are now chosen by shared designer, category and state rather than at random, with previous and next links within the category.
- Every category and state page has its own introduction.
- Submissions no longer need a .au domain. Any website for an Australian-based business or organisation is eligible.
- The submit form now has a checklist of requirements, and descriptions must be at least 50 words.
- A listing's location is now labelled "Based in", meaning where the organisation behind the website is based.
- Clearer page titles and descriptions for listings in search results, and richer structured data for search engines and AI assistants.
- Added guidance notes to the submit form on naming a website and writing its description.

Published counts websites that are still listed. Rejected and updated totals have been recorded automatically since 10 October 2026; earlier rejected figures are from our own records where we have them, and a dash means no figure. A website edited several times in one week counts once.
